Teen Activities

The programs provided for our teens are as follows:

Homework/Tutoring

• Offered Monday through Friday to help our teens with any area of education in which they may be struggling. The volunteers and peers provide tutoring.

• The teens will be going on field trips to cultural institutions, historic sites, and performing arts centers.

• Peer mediation, conflict resolution, and social and personal development seminars will be provided
• Defining community problems and design volunteer service projects.

• The teens will be going on field trips and conduct fundraising in the community.

• The teens will also be provided with information about abstinence and seminars from Planned Parenthood.
• The 4H club will be doing nutritional seminars.
• Our teens will have peer discussion several times during the month.
• The teens will also be visiting local colleges.
• Local business tours to help aid decision making for future careers.
• The teens will also attend financial aid seminars to familiarize them with the applications needed to attend college.
• We will also have a speaker from ETS to help teens complete the SAT and PSAT forms.
• We will have a speaker from Alcohol Anonymous speak about alcohol dependencies and conduct drug and alcohol prevention seminars.
• We will have a speaker from the local police station speak about crime prevention and personal safety.
